Start: Knettishall Heath, Suffolk
End: Cromer, Norfolk
Distance: Around 100 miles, but add a few more as it is likely that accommodation will be a mile or two off route
Ascent: Around 4,000 feet, the only notable climbs are the cliff walks on the last day
Time: 7 days
Terrain: Excellent paths throughout, extremely flat and straight walking. Five miles along shingle beach from Cley to Weybourne is tough going
Difficulty: 2 – walking is relatively easy, but long days in the sun, a lack of facilities on Peddars Way and the occasional challenging mile or two make this a bit more than a walk in the park.
Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path are two walks combined into one national trail. The Peddars Way follows the route of an old Roman Road and trading route, all the way from north Suffolk to the Norfolk coast. The coastal path then hugs the shoreline, but seeing the sea is a rarity as the views are dominated by marshes.
